I've posted before about DD2, in Leicestershire, phoning us, on holiday in Scotland, saying she couldn't come out of her bedroom as a HUGE spider was on the landing waiting for her!

I'm not frightened of spiders in fact I quite like them . It is mice that fill me with horror, even the smallest one looks huge and threatening to me. I have been known to lock myself in my bedroom on threat of a single invasion

Spiders no problem but a moth or daddy long legs and DH is a basket case and I have to come to the rescue.

Just had the council pest control man round, as last Friday I found that a rat had visited my corner kitchen cupboard, where the central heating boiler is fitted.
It may have come from next door (new extension) and the drains seem clear, but he said if it gets in the pipes, IT MAY COME UP IN THE KITCHEN SINK OR BATHROOM!

Just had a call from the follow-up pest control man, who has reassured me that rats very rarely pop up in sinks and toilets, but he has seen it twice.
He is going to come round for the next three weeks to check, and has given me his number in case of a dead body or another visit!

All this for just £10.
Three cheers for Cheshire East council, for once a really good service.
