Sorry I don't have any updates at this stage. Although I am so relieved a thorough search is finally under way, I am left feeling helpless and a little loss now that I can do little more for my Nan - I have to trust in the people involved in the search that she will be found. That is why I wanted to thank whoever came up with this idea of lighting the candles. In some small way I was able to once again feel as though I was doing something for Nan in focusing all my energy into that candle & what it symbolised.
I have read through some of the messages left by others and once again am left feeling immensely proud of the person she is and how she has managed to touch so many others. Thank you Gransnetters, for everything, hopefully I'll wake up to good news

What a wonderful idea. I woke and could not get back to sleep, came down for a hot drink and a look at the forum and found this. Have lit mine.

I don't write much on here and visit every now and then.

However, in the past week, like many people, I have checked in several times a day in the hope of reading good news. Although I have only been able to post on FB, I think those on here who have been able to be more involved are inspirational and commend all their efforts.
