I am very upset

Because this morning on my way into work I was involved in a car incident, when a young woman sped out of a side road without looking and my taxi had to take avoiding action. We ended up in the hedge and she blithely carried on her uncaring way!
We caught up with her in the golf car park where my driver remonstrated with her, stating that he had an ELDERLY passenger who had been shaken by her carelessness!
ELDERLY! It put me in a bad mood all day!

Yes Anno and how are 'they' expecting this generation of workers to carry on to 70? On zimmers?

I'm only 69 and not on a zimmer yet(except on rare occasions when I've done it on my crutches)

I agree, Aka, They're going to have to find a cure for arthritis if they expect folk to carry on working until 70. I carried on teaching until I was nearly 65 because I was able to reduce my hours but the standing and lugging bags and books up and down stairs exhausted me.

Plenty of brainpower but it's the lack of stamina that does you in.

I think we should all try to grow old as disgracefully as possible and if there is a system of any sort we should either work it to our own advantage or b*** it up.
