Last night my daughter had a fall and her ankle was badly swollen and bruised. SIL wasn't available to take her to A & E so we took her and prepared for a long wait. She was registered, examined, x-rayed and had her leg and foot put in plaster all in the space of an hour and a half of our arrival. The hospital we went to is a large hospital which has had some bad press in the past. All the staff were lovely and helpful. smile

Hope your daughter recovers well. I feel very sorry for those who have had bad experiences with the NHS and the matters need to addressed. However it is good to hear the bright side too. This last couple of year I have had various reasons to be very grateful for the service and have been met with nothing but kindness and efficiency. Let's hope that most people find the same.

ginny - they were fabulous today - all of them. And if ever i ring my gp's office for an appointment I get one within 2 days. Never had a problem but can appreciate those who do.
