Oh kitty sorry to hear you are cold and ailing. I'm trying to get round to doing accounting/tax tasks and making slow progress. No excuse.

I'm lying here freezing, feeling ill, in cold grey Leicestershire and somebody comes on here and says they are in Brazil - huh. .

Hi Gransnetters, greetings from Brazil, 60 today! Have tried posting before but didn't work hope this one will. Have spent the morning visiting the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls, means "big water" in the indigenous language which is a very apt, it's a whole lot of water, much more than the rapids at Center Parcs!!! It's so wonderful to be here. We have spent 6 days in Buenos Aires, a wonderful city, enjoyed a sublime tango night, not performing, spectating, Strictly won't be the same again!

Off to Rio on Saturday for six days, then back for Christmas, pleeeese don't let it me too cold in England.

Sadly, I'm too far away to go to the GC's seasonal entertainments. One GS tells me that he is going to be a banker in a Mary Poppins show!

Bravo Nellie, knitting on four needles used to be one of my favourite pastimes. In the good old Ramblers days all our socks were hand knit, not to mention the Fair isle pullovers and the matching bobble hat

Been to youngest grandsons nursery 'nativity'; had to stand on a chair and wave a lot to him as he couldn't see us at the back. Must remember to pick the other one up from school later. Bit tired though, today. Booked a holiday for next autumn and have already started to have the 'going on holiday in 15 minutes and still haven't packed my case' dream. At least there was no guinea pig in last nights dream. That will, no doubt, come later.

Good morning all you busy early birds. It is very grey here and it rained very heavily in the night from two till six. When I went back to sleep.
I'm off out to lunch soon. We had been invited to " have our welcoming cocktails on the roof terrace overlooking the harbour", but I think it's a bit too wet and windy today.

Just made and decorated 36 cupcakes (we always used to call them buns!) for the WI Christmas meeting tomorrow. Should be a happy meeting as we will be celebrating the 100th birthday of one of our members!

Alie, I could do the heels when I was 12, but conveniently forgot thereafter!

Galen there is a very fierce Robin in my garden that I have seen chasing all the tits off. Viscous creatures Robins.

I do enjoy my bird feeder though, I bought it two years ago as a Christmas present for me.

Good morning all, weather bright & crisp here.
Mr N and I are going to the Japanese Fusion restaurant for lunch, just the two of us.
so that will be a nice little treat !

I am not feeling better. Sitting here with warm coat on.
I don't think my gardener/handyman is coming, it isn't his usual day and he's a bit erratic...but I don't mind not having to go outside....

Bit dark in Brum - at least it's dry though. I will be spending the day doing my DD's washing and ironing as she has broken her foot . Took her to have her foot and leg re-plastered yesterday, made her lunch and made them a casserole for their tea. I feel like a mum again!

I'm watching great great tits bluetits and the dunnock fighting each other off the feeders. The great tits seem to be winning. Oh! A coaltit has just joined the fray. Haven't seen the long tailed tits yet this year.

Re my previous knitting post. I now have a tiny sample piece of four needle knitting to show my knitting group mentor I can do it.

I will now do the toddler legwarmers flat and seam them so he can get them before summer.

Yes, it's damp and dreary here too anno.
Another bad night of half dreams and worry, now feeling worn out again before I've even started.
No doubt I'll perk up after a shower and hairwash

Raining now in this corner of Cheshire. I'm coughing a bit which gives me a headache and sore throat. We had to learn 4-needle knitting at school. The most fiddly bits were the fingers on gloves. When my granny came to stay, she helped me with my homework - a pair of socks, one of my more successful assignments.
