Morning all still grey in kent but not as grey as yesterday. YEHA it's the 22nd things can only get better ..well there's still January to come but for now I'll concentrate on the fact that little by little it will be getting lighter. Good morning everyone from Bristol, am off to Lanzarote for a week later this morning, a getaway from all the Christmas hype and no family in the UK to keep me here. Looking forward to some sunshine and blue skies, apparently temperatures of about 21C, cant wait. Happy Christmas to one and all.

Also early celebration of son's birthday on the 24th. Can't believe it was 37 years ago that I waddled into the hospital on Christmas Eve. My firstborn. 40 minutes,later, there he was!

Off to pick up the M&S orders this morning and then I will be making two roulades to freeze for our family get together on the 28th.

Dry in Brum after lots of heavy rain last night. Cloudy skies but bright-ish.

Glad to be home after three wonderful weeks travelling around in South America. Cloudy skies but not too cold. Have 3 days to put up the Christmas tree, wrap presents, get the house ready and buy the turkey and all the trimmings.

The sun is out in north London. We should be travelling to a rented cottage in Matlock but instead we have been to the local hospital for a blood thinning injection for my husband who has a suspected DVT. C'est la vie

Yes Humbertbear the weather is lovely here, blue sky- I do hope that will last. I have the heating on but may have to turn it down a couple of degrees.

Grey, wet and windy here in the north east. I did my shopping at M&S Metro centre late last night and it was easy, peasy. DH has just been to Morrison's to get a newspaper and he couldn't get into the car park. I would rather starve than fight my way through congested isles

It's me again from East Sussex. Elder daughter and 2 DGS coming today. I have been watching their progress on Find Friends an Apple App. They made great time down to the M40 and have been going snail pace since. They won't be here until about 16.00 now even if the M25 is flowing well. Oh dear. Christmas starts when they arrive.
