I have been listening to the Kings college carol service while cleaning windows. I will not be descended upon for christmas before friday so limited food to prepare now.
May all have a peaceful time and be happy.

I'm also listening to the service from Kings, love it - me, the big atheist! tchgrin

You bloody awful lot, you've made me cry now!

Away with you, surely you have stuffing to make and veg to prepare!

I have just taken a moment from the kitchen, giving a swede the boil of it's life (bad memories of "the swede that wouldn't die") and listening to the service from Kings on the radio, one of my personal Christmas traditions. That's enough on it's own to make me well up, without you lot being so damn lovely!

A Christmas "humph" to you all, accompanied by a bit of a sniff and nose blowing. It's the onions, of course, any fool knows that..........

phoenix you have an amazing capacity to send good wishes to all and the gift to look on the bright side of life (cue song). It has not been the easiest year for yourself but you always manage to say the right thing to other Gransnetters who are experiencing tough times. I hope you have a very happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year. wine flowers

Charleygirl Tue 24-Dec-13 11:40:53

Thanks phoenix I know that it is not all smelling of roses with you at present. Enjoy yourself tomorrow and look after your poorly cat.

You are a pretty wonderful lot, but there are some members without whom things would be very different chez Phoenix.

I won't say why, or name names, (you know who you are!) but I just hope that your kindness comes back to you tenfold.

Much love to all for tomorrow, those that will be alone, those who will be with families, those that will be remembering other times, I will think of you all.
