You are a pretty wonderful lot, but there are some members without whom things would be very different chez Phoenix.

I won't say why, or name names, (you know who you are!) but I just hope that your kindness comes back to you tenfold.

Much love to all for tomorrow, those that will be alone, those who will be with families, those that will be remembering other times, I will think of you all.

Thanks phoenix I know that it is not all smelling of roses with you at present. Enjoy yourself tomorrow and look after your poorly cat.

Frannygranny Tue 24-Dec-13 11:46:39

phoenix you have an amazing capacity to send good wishes to all and the gift to look on the bright side of life (cue song). It has not been the easiest year for yourself but you always manage to say the right thing to other Gransnetters who are experiencing tough times. I hope you have a very happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year. wine flowers

Phoenix I can only echo what everyone else wishes for you. May things start to go in your favour after the difficult year you've faced, and I hope you don't have any vet calls to upset things, either. flowers

You bloody awful lot, you've made me cry now!

Away with you, surely you have stuffing to make and veg to prepare!

I have just taken a moment from the kitchen, giving a swede the boil of it's life (bad memories of "the swede that wouldn't die") and listening to the service from Kings on the radio, one of my personal Christmas traditions. That's enough on it's own to make me well up, without you lot being so damn lovely!

A Christmas "humph" to you all, accompanied by a bit of a sniff and nose blowing. It's the onions, of course, any fool knows that..........

Riverwalk Tue 24-Dec-13 15:40:24

I'm also listening to the service from Kings, love it - me, the big atheist! tchgrin

kittylester Tue 24-Dec-13 16:19:11

Nelliemoser Tue 24-Dec-13 16:22:08

I have been listening to the Kings college carol service while cleaning windows. I will not be descended upon for christmas before friday so limited food to prepare now.
May all have a peaceful time and be happy.

granjura Tue 24-Dec-13 20:39:47

Our Pudding is a very old girl, 15 or more, and sends her very best Christmas wishes to your dear cat. She's got her nose out of joint as our daughter's little dog, Slinky the 13 year old dachs, has been sleeping by my bed whilst his 'mum' was in the UK for 10 days- she'll be so happy tonight that she can jump on my or OH's bed tonight and have us to herself smile Bless her white paws.

Deedaa Tue 24-Dec-13 21:50:05

Happy Christmas phoenix I think I get more pleasure from your posts than anyone else's. Hope your cat is getting better - I was at the vet yesterday with our 16 year old, seems to be a relatively minor problem and we should get through Christmas all right.

NfkDumpling Tue 24-Dec-13 22:12:29

It's been a c**p year for so many this last year. Only the wonderful summer weather being a redeeming feature. 2014 has a good ring to it. Happy Christmas everyone and a wonderful new year. wine
