My SIL inducted me into the pleasures of "Dark and Stormies" which sounds like the ideal drink for tonight (and the rest of the week) They are absolutely brilliant - you can go on drinking them and they hardly taste alcoholic - until you stand up. (Got very giggly playing "Articulate" after a couple or three on Boxing Day). Highly recommended!

I'm up for a lift CharleygirI, taking pills now, what time do you want me ready for? My thermal vest and wellies look quite trendy, since I'm not really sure of the dress code in such circles, I have bought a little black dress, yes you can see a bit of vest, but that gives it a bit of interest, black clothing makes me look pasty, but the diamonds lift it a bit.

Is anybody flying my way (MK?) I feel a bit out of the way as you didn't choose a *sensible venue like Leicester Forest East Services and Balmoral is a heck of a long way - especially as I have to be in Bournemouth by lunchtime.......

I just checked out the Red Hot Chilli Pipers - whoo! I never knew anyone could make an electric guitar sound like bagpipes - and vice versa.....I think we are having a New Year Ceilidh tonight!

Funnily enough I have just made some vodka jelly sweets, just vodka and a jelly, no added extras like water. little heart shaped ones.

Galen will be in one of her cruise wear ball gowns! To my utter shame I am still in my baggy "wear them only about" the house jogging bottoms, but the magic of "The kings new clothes" will apply and I will be seen as being in a full Queen Victoria style tartan dress.
