Good Morning Everyone,
Its cold and wet here in Brackley this morning, yesterday plans to visit Oxford were withdrawn after the amount of traffic holding up scheduled bus services going into Bicester Village, where`s the money coming from of the credit cards.

Morning, Mick! I was very impatient for your morning post today because I'm in a state of shock and needed to tell someone. MrBags got up before seven o'clock!! It'll take me a while to recover.

Count yourself lucky thatbags, HymnSelf gets up at 6.00 am every morning. I'd love a late start.

Good morning peeps, still darkish here but quite mild and of course damp!
Exercise class this morning, which is getting more and more difficult with my aches and pains, but what I'd be like if I hadn't been doing it for nearly forty years I tremble to think!
#mustkeepgoing!

Hope you have a good day with your Mum on her 90th Brithday, kitty flowers for you both.

ffinnochio Wed 15-Jan-14 08:52:11

Just a thought Absent. Will this recipe work just as well in a Loaf Tin?

Nelliemoser Wed 15-Jan-14 08:53:16

Good morning! Its very grey looking a bit south of anno. Rain forecast. 8degC. I am out from under the duvet. Porridge is simmering and cup of tea in my hand.

Nonu Wed 15-Jan-14 08:55:32

Damp and chilly here , still supposed to be brightening up later, fingers crossed !
happy 90th to Mum x

Did you have a super-duper day with DD , Lona ?

ffinnochio Wed 15-Jan-14 08:59:51

Ooops - wrong thread.

Thistledoo Wed 15-Jan-14 09:13:31

Good morning all, dull and rainy here, big change from yesterdays severe frost with temps at -5 all day. Happy birthday to your Mum Nonu, hope you have a fab day with her. Just been told by DD that I've to bake birthday cake for DGD party on Saturday. DGD says she doesn't want a bought cake, as she only like Granny's chocolate cake. There are 15 kids at this party, it will have to be a big cake. No pressure then. Just to add, I'm a rubbish baker.
Hope you have recovered from your shock this morning Bags.

Thistledoo Wed 15-Jan-14 09:16:57

OOps I think I have read the thread wrong, I see its Kitty's Mum's 90th birthday today not Nonu. Sorry. Hope you all have a stupendous day with your family. flowers

Lona Wed 15-Jan-14 09:21:55

Yes thanks, Nonu, she has started to really open up to me now, which has always been hard for her. She doesn't have 'best friends' so has previously bottled everything up,and consequently suffered deep depression.
So, sunshine and smile

Bez Wed 15-Jan-14 09:25:44

Good morning everyone - wet and grey here in Dordogne.
Have a lovely day with your Mum Kitty. Be lovely for you to see everyone else too.
I have only been to. Biscester once and the only people spending any money were Chinese - there is a large Chineserestuarant there too and that seemed to be full.

Nonu Wed 15-Jan-14 09:27:23

That is grrrreat news !
flowers to you both

Stansgran Wed 15-Jan-14 09:30:30

Morning all, damp and grey but at least it's light grey in Durham. Happy birthday to KL's ma. And flowers ti KL for being such a brilliant daughter.

annodomini Wed 15-Jan-14 09:47:01

Enjoy your Mum's birthday, kitty. I hope she enjoys it as well.

kittylester Wed 15-Jan-14 10:43:23

If I can Thistle I'll post a photo of the cake my Mum requested having seen one I did for DGS's 6th birthday. It's easy peasy. Just triple Delia's all in one mixture in a 12" tin and topped with rough chocolate butter icing with loads of buttons, smarties, crumbled flake etc thrown at it.

Sophisticated it ain't but easy and popular it is. cupcake
