Now then...which one of you lot shamed inspired me to turf out all the cleaning/polishing/scouring stuff cluttering the space under the kitchen sink and under a cupboard in the utility room? My bet's on that OGM
I did a half-hearted clear out no so long ago. Jeepers! The stuff one tucks away..."just in case"...
Rory decided it was an appropriate opportunity to sit on the utility door mat and gaze out at the beyond. That meant that he was under my feet big-time. I discovered a ball that we had bought for him. It was very dusty. I washed it. I gave it to him. He stared. He sniffed. He ignored it. It went back, minus the fluff.
Then of course, I was on a roll. I decided that every item under the sink had to be sorted and wiped and rehoused in order of usage. That meant that the kitchen floor was strewn with detritus. Rory thought it a good idea to sit on the cleaning cloths.
MacSporran returned from the shop. I gave him stuff that he'd tucked away...nuts, bolts, hinges. They have gone into the shed. He made my pot of coffee [bless] and suggested that I come to chat with my Granspals. To be honest, he wanted to get off into the loft. Viking have just delivered an electric drill. When he was attempting to construct my work bench, his elderly drill died on him.
Yes, Gally the last step on the ladder is scary. What with my dickie back and dodgy hips, the final heave-up is precarious. Do tell, what was it you found behind the water tank? We're nosy intrigued. Ten years ago, when I managed the shop in Fowey, I would climb in and out of the window and display heavy quilts and such, without a wince. The shop was at the foot of a steep hill. I marched up it at the close of day. Sigh!
Agus I shall pass you message on to MacSporran. He'll
becomingly. Friends of ours love the restaurant you mention. When we were last in Oban, we hoped to have lunch there. It was closed. That was about a month ago. I seem to remember that it was to be open again very soon.
