I don't actually eat much chocolate Goose don't have a sweet tooth but to accompany my hot chocolate I have just made 4 ryvitas, lots of butter and cheddar cheese.

decent weather should come cheap toosmile. Writing this makes me feel nostalgic about how long it's been since I last 'did' a picnic….

Goose Our sandwiches will definitely be meat - pastrami for me, and roast beef for DW who doesn't like anything spicy. We'll take a flask of boiling water and the necessary for making a cup of coffee too. It certainly helps to make it a cheap day out. All we need now i ssome decent weather.

lefthanded. I have a sneaky love of pre-packed lunches…somehow, after a few hours of sitting around with nothing to do, sandwiches take on a 'mellow' kind of taste - the bread gets a tinsy bit soggy (especially if eggs are involved) and the sandwich itself tastes more nourishing and wholesome - and think of how much money you save making 'em yourself, plus they always seem more posh if they're cut into triangles rather than rectangles!

Agus…Chocolate's ALWAYS goodgrin I find second best is Licorice Allsorts! I agree with your Granny 23 sentiments - jumpy legs must be hell to put up with through the night

I'm still here. Just about to make some sandwiches for tomorrow's lunch. We have to go out for the day tomorrow - not far, just over the Bridge into that part of South Gloucestershire that the locals call CUBA (the Counties that Used to Be Avon"), and since we are a bit skint at the moment we will take lunch with us.

Still awake here too! Not the least bit sleepy so I thought I might as well go the whole hog and have a hot chocolate. Like that's really going to help me get to sleep!!!

Hope your jumpy legs aren't too bad tonight Granny 23 sad

It's one of the things I find worrying - I can be sat here at 10-00pm (wide awake) but if I go out and look down the street, the whole place is dead, they've all gone to bed (probably hours ago). New Years Eve at 12.00 I was the only person outside letting the New Year in and the Od Year out…the rest of the street was asleep, surely it should be the other way roundhmm

g'evening (goodnight?) everyone. I've been out tonight and got back very late but I'd be awake this time of night if I was going out or sitting here trawling through my laptop. I know all the neighbours are fast asleep (too young, can't keep the pace up!)

Granny23 Thu 30-Jan-14 00:25:47

Yes, I am still up as is usual at this time. sad

Frannygranny Thu 30-Jan-14 00:22:58

What made you wake up, goose?

Frannygranny Thu 30-Jan-14 00:22:04

Yes, been in bed most of the day with a chesty virus thing and now can't get to sleep. I suppose it would help if I put my ipad away!!

Goose Thu 30-Jan-14 00:18:31
