Good morning all. It's early for me but I could not sleep any longer and I have a hairdressing appointment at 9am. I am off to the the Northwest meetup today. grin

Hello everyone,

Another wet day in prospect but for me living up a hill it is far better than the snow, but for my friends living down by the river they are worrying times.

Won't it be great when the Spring arrives ?

Good morning, everyone. A day to look forward to, meeting Gransnetters at lunchtime for a good ol' chinwag. See you later, peeps! smile

See you later x

Soggy, windy and dreary. Is this really Good Morning? I couldn't sleep so up at 5.30, but it was too dark to see much before. I still have one apple tree to prune, but it overhangs a fast-flowing stream with very muddy banks. I have been putting it off but I have to do it soon. Woe!

Have a good natter, when.

Good morning all, very still after the hefty winds of the past few days. It is raining - nothing new there! I wonder how the folk who always sleep rough are managing in this awful weather? Whatever you are doing today, hope it is a good day for you.

Calm and not raining at the moment in East Sussex but we have an Amber warning for rain later. Deep joy.
Hope the Northwest meetup have a great day and put the world to rights. Come on Southest where is our meet up.?

Good morning everyone, its a beautiful morning here, blue sky and sunshine, so far anyway. I think it will change as the day unfolds.
Thinking about all the folk down in the SW affected by the awful floods.
Hope things will resolve quite soon and you all return to your homes.

Good morning all, glad to say we don't live on the Somerset levels, it is quite dreadful for them. Hope those going to 'meet ups' have a good time.

It is our 43rd wedding anniversary today. Went out for 2 weeks before getting engaged, got married after 3 months and 'they' said it wouldn't last smile.

Huge congratulations Liz, that's very heartwarming flowers

A rude awakening this morning at 7.30 for emergency babysitting duties. Dgs has a 'bug' which I hope he keeps to himself! Glad to help though smile

Good morning from a sunny north east after a very windy night, weather that is.
Congratulations LizG flowers
Young love doesn't last, what I was told too, and I have been with DH since two months after my 17th birthday.

More a case of Good Afternoon on a very wet Thursday. Is this rain ever going to stop or should we contemplate building an Arc and looking for animals in pairs?

BAnanas Thu 06-Feb-14 14:58:14

ooops should have typed Ark

NanKate Thu 06-Feb-14 15:26:06

Congratulations LizG. It will be our 43rd in October and we too got dire warnings, but we are still happily together. Have a great day wine

Hope you avoid the bug Lona. That was the one thing I didn't realise upon becoming a grandparent that we would catch all the 'little ones' nasties. Recently we went to help look after our sick youngest Dgs for a few days. The night before our departure I began to feel sick and I won't go into the yukky details of my frequent trips to the bathroom for both ends ! My older Gds (almost 3) ran into me the next morning and asked why I was in bed, I explained I was trying to get the energy up to move when he insisted on getting into bed and playing games to help me feel better. The joys of being a Nan !! hmm
