Hello Carrie from sunny (well it was for an hour before it got dark!) Colchester. Why not take look at your local Gransnet page, there may be a meet up planned. cupcake

Are you sure? You haven't tried my rock cakes. The Romans could have used them in their ballistas.
Welcome to you.

Welcome carrie and all recent newbies.

MarionHalcombe Tue 11-Feb-14 22:02:00

Another newbie here, I have been a mumsnetter for the past 12 years but after some news last week grin I thought I should leave that to my dd and move over to here.

bikergran Tue 11-Feb-14 22:07:58

welcome Marion smile

Oldgreymare Tue 11-Feb-14 22:23:35

Hello Carrie and Marion, I'm multi-tasking (well we GNs are good at that) eating a late evening snack and catching up with ALL the news!

Galen Tue 11-Feb-14 22:26:55

Nice to see you Marion
I gather congratulations are in order?

glassortwo Tue 11-Feb-14 22:39:02

Hello Carrie and marion welcome to GN, I have a foot in both camps but tend to leave the other side to DD now, only call in to the other side occasionally.

MarionHalcombe Tue 11-Feb-14 22:43:31

Thanks, I'm quite giddy, it's a complicated situation though and I may be starting a thread for advice once the 12 week wait is over.

I have however bought some scratch mitts grin

glassortwo I wondered how many had crossed over to this site, I've name changed and made a new start. Dd knows my name on mumsnet and if I'm asking for advice about her i think I'd like to be anonymous

glassortwo Tue 11-Feb-14 22:51:07

marion there are quite a few of us smile.
I am up to me ears with scratch mitts too, just had DGS no6 arrive 2 weeks ago.

Galen Tue 11-Feb-14 22:51:37

I'm registered on both, but never posted on MN. Dd does though. Have no idea of her user name. Suspect I'd find her on the sling/ co sleeping/ natural parenting sites,
She's an 'earth mother' but has a chemistry degree!

(Goes off, shaking head sadly to find a patch of sand to bury said head in!)

Hello to Carrie and Marion from Loughborough

kittylester Wed 12-Feb-14 16:04:13

Hi Marion from just outside Loughborough - where it's blowing a gale! Enjoy GN smile

grannyisland Wed 12-Feb-14 17:45:06

I'm new too and it's definitely addictive! I can see how helpful and supportive you all are from browsing the forums. Must look at Phoenix's sluts corner - I need no encouragement to avoid housework!

bikergran Wed 12-Feb-14 18:10:29
