6 weeks to April when the sun will be too hot to leave the dog in the car to go shopping

The blinds will go up in the conservatory

The earth in the garden will be totally covered with new green growth

We can begin to think to putting away our winter woollies

and I will begin to panic about being behind with the new seasons sowing

Glory - Be

Bit long so bear with me,,,, I am an optimist,,, 8 years ago had a heart valve replacement, urgent, following year a bad accident smashed right shoulder and upper arm, following year survived a Pulmonary Embollism, then discovered compressed discs in the spine and knees knackered. Then,,, DD who had always been in same-sex relationships, no probs as long as she was happy, met a lovely MAN had DGs and got married, then I had a knee replacement, didn't take so need another one and other knee getting worse.
But, yes I know I'm a pedant too, I feel happy, friends think I am wierd at times and anyone who has read other posts by me will realise that life has not been a bed of roses, one with thorns perhaps.
I get a big huggy from DGS every day, DD loves me, I have wonderful friends, cooking dinner for one as we speak,,, have a lovely SO, red roses last week, and just feel blessed.
I love small things, small pleasures, take every day as it comes, and love all of you on here, hope to meet some of you at some time. God bless have a lovely evening x

Taking her home soon, should have taken her out but she seems to be happy playing, and anyway she has a streaming nose ...

Oh bless margaret. I shall be seeing my grandson this afternoon (he will be two on Saturday). Looking forward to some sticky kisses too ..... and probably another cold grin

I am not allowed to sing or say anything at the moment. Orders of a 2 year old.

KatyK Wed 19-Feb-14 11:51:39

margaretm74 Wed 19-Feb-14 10:47:40

I just got a very sticky kiss (DD2 having a snack of banana and satsuma jumps down and hugs me)

KatyK Wed 19-Feb-14 10:31:29

Sherish - I hope so. She is a lovely child (yes I know I would say that, but she is)

sherish Wed 19-Feb-14 10:27:30

That is so nice of her. You obviously mean a lot to her.

KatyK Wed 19-Feb-14 09:53:48

They lift your spirits, don't they NanKate? smile

NanKate Wed 19-Feb-14 09:44:05

How lovely KatyK treasure those words.

When I went to see my 3 year old grandson recently he said to me 'lets have a cuddle Nan' . I keep replaying that moment in my mind. smile

KatyK Tue 18-Feb-14 18:24:26

A reason to be cheerful for me (having not had many reasons to be cheerful lately) - yesterday my DGD who is almost 14 (and according to her mum 'getting very stroppy') said to me today whilst we were having a little chat 'nan, you are the nicest person I know'. Shhh don't tell her mum grin

How lovely! better get knitting the time flies and I never did get everything done that I intended to do - the shawl took forever.

MarionHalcombe Tue 18-Feb-14 17:27:02

My first Grandchild is due in early Autumn grin

not that I'm wishing summer gone ...

Galen Tue 18-Feb-14 13:21:38

Yes my red one has no buds

soop Tue 18-Feb-14 13:13:14

Daffodils are "well-up" and waiting for more days like today. It's perfect. Have taken a few photos. Shall see if any are good enough to upload.

annodomini Tue 18-Feb-14 12:37:28

The buds on mine are fat and promising, Galen, though another one is utterly pathetic.

margaretm74 Tue 18-Feb-14 12:24:39
