London Zoo Adoption present

Brilliant ideas folks but my Sister has been in touch and my Nephew is going through a bad patch and has paranoia and wont leave the house, so I wont be able to do the Zoo experience for him at the moment.

A lot of the zoos (not sure about London) do a 'be a zookeeper for a day' gift package.

Or maybe a year's membership of the Zoo - he could visit as often as he liked without paying anything, and they probably have a regular newsletter to keep him informed of what is going on.

He might then find that they have a volunteer programme, where people help with various things - though its usually not Johnny-Morris style routine animal care and handling he would see the animals close-up and often and appreciate their behaviour patterns (often a bit autistic themselves!) .

There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes which need willing hands, and people doing training and supervising.
