when did you marry&what was your dress like?

1970 - a slimline dress made by my Mum from a piece of cotton bought in the market. Cost - about 30 shillings!

My one bridesmaid wore a mini dress - more of a pussy pelmet really!

My dress was chiffon over silky stuff. Long chiffon sleeves with large daisies on the cuffs. High necked with more daisies round the stand up neck. Empire line with yet more daisies under the bust. Short veil. White leather shoes with lowish heels.

My one bridesmaid wore bright pink shot silk in a similar style but she was only allowed daisies scattered over her short sleeves.

I looked just right for the era!

There's a photo of what I wore second time around on my profile! With the jacket off, you would see broad straps across the shoulder and a square neckline.

First time was 1976, long sleeves, high neck, fairly slim fit dress, 9i.e. not a meringue type thing) hint of a train at the back.
