Love it janerowena I find at the moment my life is full of lovely young men from the Boots driver who delivers DH medication, to new care package and phew is he good looking am I in danger of becoming a "panther" is that the right term. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

He had been gone all day, as he was doing lots of other things at school first, meetings with cross parents wanting Little Johnny to be moved up a set, that sort of thing, then shopping.

I was just feeling in a huggy mood, that's all! I had been dancing and singing around the kitchen whilst making flapjacks. It was a wasted hug, by the time he got back he just got a peck on the cheek. Then I told him the story and he hugged me, instead. Yes, we do still hug, although I tell him it's just to take the strain off my hips for a bit.

I would hugely miss having a person to hug. At the darkest moments it is a huge comfort. And it's cheaper than shopping and less fattening than cake.

Oh how I miss those hugs! My DH would often just walk into a room and give me a big bear hug for no other reason than he felt like it - and I loved it.

Me too. I had pushed all that to the back of my mind - too raw to think about it all. Lucky people - make the most of all those hugs........

I know. I have a best friend (one of two!) who, every time I see her, asks if I will give her a big hug. Of course I do. We love each other too. But still it's not the same as having someone there every day, sorry to stir up memories, but I have been through that lack a couple of times and know how it feels, so I fully appreciate it now while I have it. So does he, men like hugs too.
