Now you all probably know about this site but I have just found it - it helps you locate people - now the question is - shall I?

Aka Mon 21-Jul-14 09:23:53

I've used it

chloe1984 Mon 21-Jul-14 09:40:50

I find it very helpful when I lose my Christmas card list which is nearly every year.

AlieOxon Mon 21-Jul-14 09:49:48

It told me how old my neighbours are.....

AlieOxon Mon 21-Jul-14 09:50:12

(Or were)

Galen Mon 21-Jul-14 09:57:24

Never heard of it?

janeainsworth Mon 21-Jul-14 10:05:51

Shall you what?

HollyDaze Mon 21-Jul-14 10:48:02

it helps you locate people

What if they don't want to be located?

You can have your details removed from As they say, they only display information already in the public domain.

suebailey1 Mon 21-Jul-14 13:13:37

Well I often wonder what has become of certain people- I don't mean I would contact them but I was just wondering about one or two people or should I leave them in the past?

janeainsworth Mon 21-Jul-14 14:06:21

Well, only you can know the answer to that, Sue. If you haven't any intention of contacting them, why bother to find out where they live?

Ask yourself how you would feel if you did make contact with them and
a) you met them and had a great time;
b) you met them and wished you hadn't;
c) you made contact with them but they didn't want to meet you.

For those of you that use this site do you have to sign up and pay for credits and how much is it please ?

Nonu Mon 21-Jul-14 14:49:24

I was contacted at Christmas by some-one I had not seen for donkeys years and no , I was not remotely interested !

Elegran Mon 21-Jul-14 14:59:47

NanKate Some information is available to anyone. Some is only available by paying. Why not go and take a look and find out at firsthand?

ninathenana Mon 21-Jul-14 15:00:32

I've never heard of the site. I just did a quick search for someone. It gave me an address but how do I know if it's her ?

suebailey1 Mon 21-Jul-14 15:20:10

Your probably right- haven't bought any credits. I was looking for my daughters biological Father - I'll tell her about it and she can look if she wants.

Elegran Mon 21-Jul-14 15:22:18

You don't. It gives you the address of someone of the name you asked for in the area you specified. If there are dozens of people of the same name, you are in the same position as you would be if you looked in the phone book for them. That is where their info comes from anyway, that and electoral rolls and so on.
