What am I going to do about this weather??

You are twisting what I have said, jen. I told you what I am wearing now. It is cool now. "Now" does not include all summers ever. I was born in Yorkshire too, and I have lived and worked in the tropics. I'm not complaining about the climate where I live now, just saying how it is and how I would always be prepared for cool/cold weather if camping in northern Britain. I have done a fair bit of camping in northern and southern Britain.

I think you were twisting what I was saying, too. My son came home a day early because it was his summer holiday and he did not want his kids subjected to 0 degrees in the morning. Actually, it was only 2!
They had the right clothes, fleeces, boots, gloves, etc. Just didn't expect to wear them, like anybody else who went camping this week.
I bet Cumbria Tourist Board doesn't advertise the fact that it could be below freezing in August either.
