Nellie I can well imagine your reaction on entering your brilliant new kitchen. It must have been worth all the setbacks and hassle. As for missing the hunky Tiler, I call that mismanagement of the highest order. Over the next week or two you have an awful lot of to-ing and fro-ing to contend with...so, we Kitcheners give you permission to put your feet up, treat yourself to a nice and relax...

By gum, it's blustery. Rory refuses to put his head out the door. His tortoiseshell kitten [now about two years old] has realised that a visit to the "diner" is time well spent. She calls early evening and at breakfast time. After which, off she strolls into the forest. She is adorable...but will never be tamed. That's okay with us.

Nightowl It is a lovely place you always get a welcome and a hug if you need one. Its a retreat for anyone stressed.

I haven't been in regularly for a while as I have been hectically busy and horribly stressed by a Kitchen refit which developed a hitch in the form of a young lad who just did not cope with the job.

No kitchen sink for eight days. The firm sent the cavalry in on Friday, Saturday, & Monday. The hunky Tiler came in on Tuesday but I was out babysitting. . I arrived back from a days early babysit and a two hour choir rehearsal and walked into the kitchen to a Wow! and some profanities at how wonderful it looked.

There were two 100ml round trips to child mind DGS in two weeks and a hectic round trip of 320 miles for a family funeral and back the next day. I am allowing my self a slob about weekend now. Whilst waiting to find a painter and get the new flooring man to come.

Feeling tired.

This is such a lovely place, and thank you for the welcome. I have taken a friend out today for a much postponed birthday lunch, so I am replete with lovely food and too much cake.

There seem to be too many of you struggling with different troubles at the moment, and I just want to add my good wishes and (((hugs))) to you all, and hope for better times ahead.

Soutra Bella Harrigran and all the *kitcheners who have distressing issues to deal with...I'm sending yet more love. I haven't felt like adding more messages, because saying the right thing, at the right time, is nigh impossible.

Harrigran, what shocking news and at such a sad time for you. Our eldest son had a stroke aged 35 whilst living in Japan. We, of course, flew straight out and spent 12 hours not knowing what we would find when we got there so I know how worrying this time is. We were sustained by good friends and the rest of the family and I know you will be there for your friend. PM me if I can help with experiences etc.

Bella, I hope you are enjoying this time with your sister and that your DH is coping without you. One of my friends flew to Canada to be with her sister at a time like this and said she and her sister had a really happy time together, strange as it seems!

soop hope the injection does the trick. I have had a couple of injections in my shoulder which always felt worse for a couple of days. I hope it does the trick.

soutra so sorry to hear this, but, keep the faith. DD2 had similar results, but in the end all was well. Such a worrying time for you all.
