This thread is for you - and please do take a look around. We don't bite (but we do bake cupcake cupcake) x

WandaDoff Fri 10-Oct-14 23:24:13

Too many 'threads' there blush

I may have had a wine too many.

FishWithABicycle Fri 10-Oct-14 23:23:22

We want to feel settled in and comfy before the great switch off. What would happen if at 6am when our delightful offspring wake us up we discovered there was some kind of complicatedness to get through before we could complete the registration here? With no coffee to help?

We also need to post a few posts tonight so that in the morning all we have to do is click "Threads I'm On" to get enough reading matter to help us come to terms with being awake.

We have a thread in MNclassic thread about Pom bears served at a dinner party.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/mumsnet_classics/1056940-to-think-this-couple-are-bonkers

We have a little emoticon that looks like a pom-bear

merlotgran Fri 10-Oct-14 23:16:56

Where on earth did she find that comfy chair? We normally sit around on rejects from Kirstie Allsopp's skip finds.

Plenty of white wine down in the cellar. I'll give you combination for the lock on the Stenna stair lift so you don't come back with just one bottle wink

I'm not even sure why you're here yet - MN's only off between 6.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. tomorrow!

HQ seem to have been encouraging panic-mode for some reason confused

Droitwichmummy Fri 10-Oct-14 23:13:08

Hello may I pull up a chair & carry on with my knitting here please? I've brought a selection of brew

Lookslikeimstuckhere Fri 10-Oct-14 23:08:58

I wonder, if MNHQ is doing technical, will we get some new emoticons? I'd quite like a selection of beverages, I don't like red wine <runs away to hide behind ohwhatjeffery's comfy chair>.

Ana Fri 10-Oct-14 23:08:52

bear? confused

merlotgran Fri 10-Oct-14 23:06:27

Thanks for the flowers I'll find an empty wine caraffe to put them in. smile

WandaDoff Fri 10-Oct-14 23:06:11

Ooh (thanks) works as well!

[bear]

WandaDoff Fri 10-Oct-14 23:05:01

Much easier to have flowers
On MN it is thanks

We have [cake], but it is a slice of cake, rather than a cherry bakewell.
cupcake

Lookslikeimstuckhere Fri 10-Oct-14 22:40:48

Hellooo? I brought flowers, can I come in please?

Ana Fri 10-Oct-14 22:35:55

No! You can't have our sunshine and moon unless we can have all your emoticons - we begged long and hard for the ones we've got! grin

(They wouldn't let us have your 'biscuit' one because they thought we'd all faint...)

owlbegoing Fri 10-Oct-14 22:26:54

Oops, cross post with megletfrommn grin

owlbegoing Fri 10-Oct-14 22:25:18

It looks nice and welcoming over here.
I wonder if Mumsnet will let us bring back sunshine and moon when they've finished doing their techy stuff grin

megletfrommn Fri 10-Oct-14 22:24:29

I feel quite nervous about visiting GN. It's like being a newbie all over again.

Hey, you have a sunshine and a moon. How cool <easily pleased>.

ohwhatjefferyisthis Fri 10-Oct-14 22:18:35

<wanders in, finds comfy chair> another lost sheep. I changed my name (very cunningly I thought). I like gin. Is there gin? I promise not to swear (much). Been brought up to be polite when visiting. So I brought [cake]

Elegran Fri 10-Oct-14 21:57:44

What a boozy lot these Mumsnetters are. They are all asking for wine! So unlike us sober teetotal Gransnetters who drink nothing but brew

hic wine

TheBoysMama Fri 10-Oct-14 21:49:07

Sorry meant to also say thank you Gransnet for letting us join you flowers

TheBoysMama Fri 10-Oct-14 21:37:26

Hello, another mumsnetter here. Just realised I've spelt my username wrong oh well maybe change it on mumsnet too then blush
Is there wine here?

merlotgran Fri 10-Oct-14 21:00:16

They might find us stumbling around thinking we're the Queen of Sheba or Greta Garbo.

Or that nice lady who presents A Question of Sport and used to go out with Cliff Richard.

What's her name again? confused grin

Queenoflouisiana Fri 10-Oct-14 20:58:32

Hello! I'm another Mumsnet refugee. So, is there wine here too?

tanith Fri 10-Oct-14 20:47:11

They probably think we'll get confused!! grin

Ana Fri 10-Oct-14 20:19:55

They don't trust us to do that, obviously...

I think it's ageism!

JulieGransnet (GNHQ) Fri 10-Oct-14 20:19:06

Hello Julie. Another weekend rolled round again. smile

Yup. I'm a rather busy little hedgehog during the week so I only get to hang out with you all at the weekends sad

There's certain times where folk do need to name change for one reason or another, so we're always happy to hear from you. 'We're here to help' and all that.
