Afternoon here now, bit of a lazy morning Bright and breezy here in the north east and quite mild. GC are both at birthday parties today so peace and quiet for an entire day.

It's a glorious Day in our bit of the East Midlands with a bit of breeze - wish I'd known I'd have put some washing in!

I've just made a beef bourguignon and put it in the slow oven and now I'm going to sit down!!

A beautifully sunny day here, with a soft breeze, and will be having lunch in the garden with friends.

I too haven't visited this thread recently, but was prompted to by another thread as mentioned. It's been good to re-visit.

Nice and bright here in Melton Mowbray in fact no need for the heating on at the moment. off to Nottingham today to explore and hopefully find somewhere for lunch - have a lovely Sunday .

Good morning all. Grey and overcast, breezy but still quite warm for this time of year in Northumberland. DS coming for his lunch today. I'm going to make a chicken and leek pie, and something with apples for pudding.

Good morning everyone from sunny Petersfield. Returned foot sore and weary from the big smoke, but had a great time. Off to the tip today to dispose of mega amounts of wardrobe packaging, then maybe a gentle stroll this afternoon in the (hopefully) autumn sunshine. Have a good day everyone.

And mine too. I often read this thread and nod sagely and then move on, it is lovely to know that others are there weather watching. It's mild today with minuscule patches of blue sky. And it's my birthday. I've opened my cards and will open presents when all the family arrive for my birthday feast. HymnsElf has been doing mysterious preparations in the kitchen for two days and I was sent off the AGM of the local amenity society to get me out of the way. I've been permitted to set the table and then instructed to depart to places other than the kitchen.

Morning all. O often come to this thread and read but I haven't been posting on it much of late. Elsewhere on GN someone has said how much it helped her to have these morning greetings so I send mine today from Argyll where it is cloudy and rainy but with beautiful bright breaks in the clouds every now and then—a rainbow day

After such lovely spring like weather, woke up this morning to heavy rain and high winds. Soup making and Netflix may be the order of the day.

Surprisingly bright sunshine here in south Devon this morning. A good day for heading to the moors.

Very warm in East Sussex. Morning all.
Last night at 10pm it was 18c and at 7 this morning 16c. As I came home from babysitting people were sitting outside pubs it was so pleasant.
I think we are due very rough weather tonight.

Bonjour tout l'monde... hate to tell you, but it is gorgeous here- it was cold overnight, but very sunny now on the autumn colours and dew slowly drying in the heat, and not a puff of wind. Don't worry, weill get our comeupance soon, I'm sure.

Very windy here and outbursts of torrential rain. Lovely to look out at and enjoy the snug feeling. Have to go out later though so will have to dress appropriately! Cake bought and all set for viewing 2 episodes of Lewis this pm. Downton later. Lovely!

Raining in north essex but very warm

Dark and damp here too with scudding clouds - and warm. Unnaturally warm.

At least I got the holiday washing done yesterday - rather a lot as it was a bit damp and muddy in Yorkshire last week. Ironing today. None of my offspring iron anything, but I prefer a smoother look.
