Yesterday I made the Christmas pudding (8hr steaming) so today I will wrap it up and put it to mature.
DS2 and GF coming for DS to service GF's car. They will be bringing the bull terrier (our granddog) and staying for lunch. Choir this evening.

Sunny, warm and breezy on the fens. The chicken carcase from yesterday's lunch is in the pressure cooker, washing done, dogs walked.....and all because of the extra hour which I was determined not to waste.

A quick coffee then off to the greenhouse to tuck up some plants for over wintering.

Oh dear - trying to put a brave face on it, but my daughter and her husband return to New Zealand today and my grandson's also returning to his home for a few days (not many - he's back with his brother on Wednesday). Tonight the house will seem very empty.

Good morning everyone from a gloriously sunny East Northants. Must finish some painting and a bit of drilling and fixing then out for coffee with my lovely daughter in law.

Good morning all from an absolutely beautiful morning on the south coast. Was going shopping in Chichester, but it is too nice for that, so a morning sweeping up those **** leaves. I love the trees, so must suffer the consequences. We had a lovely piece of beef at the weekend too Brenda, a treat, and I managed to cook it to perfection, even if I do say so myself. Cold today with pickles. How the rich live. Enjoy your days.

Lovely sunny start to the day in East sussex.
I must be getting old when a piece of beef costing nearly £25 only just feeds ten people.! My mum would approve of the choice of six vegetables I produced at the table yesterday though pity my husband does not eat anything green. Lots of vegetables for bubble and squeak today. Yum yum.

I've got my little dgd for a two day sleepover, and my two other dgds are coming today as well.
It's their first time, coming on the train, without their mum, so a fun day ahead.

I like Monday - I feel as though I have a chance to get organised! . On that basis, I might go shopping for new underwear today.
