oh no janerowena so sorry. I am all for people having enough [I was going to say breaks, but perhaps the wrong word] time off. Aw. Hope you can at least have some other happy time this weekend.
For jingl (but surely you know this one? It was old when I was young and innocent?)
Two nuns cycling across town, over unfamiliar cobbled streets. One nun to the other, "I've never come this way before." Second nun, "Neither have I. It must be the cobbles".
How on earth does she do that soontobe? There are 5 car parks in our town. By he time I had counted the spaces some would have filled/cleared...... and here's me thinking counting twinkles was a bit looney!
Ok - we were due to go away this coming weekend. A joint treat for our birthdays. A very posh hotel to make the winter go faster, and also to force me to put my feet up after a bad fall four weeks ago that has left me with a badly swollen knee still and a dodgy ankle that isn't quite healed.
Ofsted are coming next week so DBH cancelled. I was so looking forward to it. I had even started packing. We couldn't normally afford to do it but DBH does it as being part of a bulk booking with some friends of his, so we can't afford to re-book later.
I was not going to say what a relative counts, but I think I will. She counts.....wait for it....... the number of parking spaces left in the town according to a board that is displayed as you enter the town centre!! Every flippin time she enters!
Drives me mad this counting malarkey . I can't help myself. I count tiles, steps, books in piles...... I have even counted the twinkles on a bloody light fitting (just to pass the time you understand, not because I'm a fruit loop)
