I have been puzzling over the gransnet logo for many days.
I can see that the woman on the left is holding a baby. But I am all confused about what is on the front of the lady on the right.
[apologies if this has been mdiscussed before on gransnet. I havent been able to see that it has?]

Do you know op, or anyone?

She is holding a banner. On her front is just shadow.

and the baby's arm?

It was discussed at length when GN started. No one really likes it. It is very reminiscent of wartime!

That's the mum's arm.

I am never very good with the "what do you see" type puzzles.

You can't see the baby's arm. Just a stump really. [shrug]

Actually, it looks quite Soviet Union!

Is the granny holding the banner sporting a tattoo?

It looks very 1930s, before my time.

On the crease of her arm??

I think the 'tattoo' on the arm is supposed to show the crease of the elbow of a VERY muscular arm. Very Soviet 1930's worker.

I like the logo. It shows women looking a little militant, not knitting grannies with a rug around the knees.

Do you know I've never really given much thought or even noticed the couple with a baby at all. How strange.

It does resemble a propaganda poster use during world war two somewhat.

Better than the Mumsnet one which looks like a giant spider!

Oh no! I really like the Mumsnet one. All rushing, sort of things. Busy, like young mums these days.

Although it will always look like a spider from now on.
