How their young minds work.......

phoenix You don't like cucumber and you live in Devon - pretty close to perfection I'd say By the way I used to have a cat who loved cucumber. He also loved potato peelings.Personally I don't think there's much difference between them!

Potato peelings have a nutty, muddy taste whilst cucumber has a fresh watery taste. I was rather partial to both at one point in my life.

Our four year old grandson eager to get going one day on holiday said
" Come on Gran and Grampy let off and go"
I should explain he is half Finnish and speaks both languages but in his own way!

My little 2 year old grandson really cheered me up the other day when I was feeling miserable with a bad cold. He noticed my cough and turned to tell his mum that gran wasn't feeling well. She said, "Oh dear, what do you think is wrong with her?" He climbed on her knee, looked over at me and with concern in his voice said, "I think someone shooted her!" As he has never played with a toy gun we have no idea where he got that from.

When visiting DD we decided to go out for the day and I wore a new pretty floral tunic with my white trousers.DD give it the thumbs up and I was feeling rather pleased with myself until as we walked through the park my 3 year old Gs looked up at me quite puzzled and asked "Grandma why have you come to the park in your pyjamas"{ I realised that it was very similar to the floral housecoat that I keep at their house and to him all nightwear is classed as pyjamas.)

DS was talking about Christmas with first GD and telling us, at three months, how she cried and grizzled all day. GD aged 5 turned to her father and said " Daddy that's what babies do " She made my day today, such an old head on young shoulders

My little DGD peered into my neighbour's garden and remarked to everyone.
"What a beautiful field"

Izzy, my 3 1/2 year old grandaughter, and myself were practising songs for her nursery concert.
After a long bout, I said, "Goodness me, Izzy, now I can't get the reindeer song out of my head."
"I'll help you, granny!" declared Izzy rushing off to get her doctor's kit.

At my ds's yesterday, he said to three yr old dd, "Tell nana which nuts you like"............. "footnuts nana!"

She's been eating cashew nuts!
