What to wear on Christmas Day?

Nothing out of the ordinary. Jeans probably. I don't have any trousers that do not fall down at the moment.

Pogs, yours is my style of cooking. Luckily I am not allowed in DS1's kitchen. I will be stationed in the corner of the sofa, glass in hand. tchgrin

At least 4 outfits probably.

The first one will need changing when the fat spits.

The second when the gravy splashes all over me.

The third when I drop my dinner in my lap

The fourth might stay the course, only if somebody else washes up.

Have you guessed I'm a sloppy cook.

Black cord trousers and hopefully a new grey and black smart sweater with a very nice cowl neck, however as my eczema is rather grotty in this cold weather (warm today admittedly) I am not sure I can bear anything round my neck.

Another Cath Kidson pinny devotee I`ll have mine on over floaty skirt with loose black top heels on to meet and greet and then off they go and bare feet and pinny for the cooking. I just get so hot when I`m cooking. Merry Christmas everyone

I'll be wearing a smile and hope nobody notices what else I'm wearing - or not wearing!

New trousers and a Christmassy thin top. I'll be in the kitchen most of the day and I'm a messy cook too. I will wear a silly christmas chef hat (from £ shop) I need to be cool in the kitchen then on the floor playing with 3 under 6 year olds. I did ask my D.I.L when I could get out of christmas duties and she thought in about 7 years time just before my 70th birthday.

I will not be wearing black as I look dreadful in it. Will be at DD house with other daughter and son in law and 2 very excited 5 year olds and other Granny. We all dress up I started the tradition when the twins were born of buying them a new dress to wear on Christmas and this year they have party dresses with glittery shoes they asked for themselves. SIL wears a patterned silky waistcoat every year and one daughter and myself wear a nice dress and sparkly earrings and other daughter prefers to be comfy in jeans but always wears a new shirt/top. We all start the day in pyjamas usually new to wear on Xmas eve and ger dressed later when we think we are not going to miss too much unwrapping. It's only having a new dress that persuades the grandchildren to dress at all!!

Whatever you wear have a great time everyone the best bit for me is spending nice time with my family.

No idea! Well, I've some kind of idea because I know what clothes I own, but nothing beyond that. It will be casual.

Don't know what we'll be eating yet either. Food. That'll do.

Casual, daft to get dressed up just to get all hot and bothered cooking dinner. I`ll be in a fairly nice skirt and jumper, but my feet will be comfortably encased in my slippers, or maybe my new slipper boots.

We do love our black clothes don't we? I will wear black velvet trousers[which are also warm and comfortable as well] with a pink flowy top, as it's hot doing the cooking, with a pair of silver snowflake ear-rings given to me as a present by DS years and years ago.I usually wear black ballet style flats indoors as I find any slippers too warm.

Black trousers and loose sparkly top probably, but def something with expanding waistband! DH will dig out some smart trousers and his Christmas jumper which has a tree on the front that flashes. ( They had a Christmas jumper charity day at work - now he loves his lights!)

Jeans and t-shirt as I'm cooking and after that I'll be on the floor playing silly games with the grandchildren. Would like to think I'll have time to change later but I know I won't. DH will wear what he always wears - chinos and t-shirt. Don't think it matters what one wears, it's just nice to have the family together for one day of the year.

Probably jeans and a t shirt + apron which no doubt will become permanently attached. I will wear sparkling earrings though as a gesture

I would love to wear PJs but we are taking the family to a hotel for lunch so I guess I will have to get dressed up. Black trousers and a top.

In still debating about what to wear. We are going to DS1 and GF and will be meeting her family for the first time so don't want to look too scruffy casual or over the top dressy.

Smart, casual, comfortable. Velvet leggings, Christmas sweater, sparkly, slipper-like flatties. Oh, and Christmas socks and earrings.

I shall wear a pair of black jeans with either a nice peach chiffon top or a long pale grey sweater with 'Let it Snow' written on the front depending on how hot the house gets .. we don't really do 'dressy' I prefer comfy to smart. If I was going out a different story but with family at home no thanks..
