I'm city-based annodomini.
The pub is a Doddle to find wink

Where are you in Cheshire, Showergel? And just as importantly, where's this perfect country pub? A GN meet-up over Sunday lunch is an inviting prospect!

ShowerGel Sun 04-Jan-15 14:54:35

Well - I found a perfect village pub to have lunch in - ten minutes drive away. Log fire, not too busy and choice of pub area or restaurant area. I chose the latter, and as I took yesterday's paper with me, I have just spent a delightful two hours there.

Surprised at how many Cheshire folk are on here!

I am off for a snooze now.

Good afternoon all.
Sorry I'm late. I stayed at Dad's overnight. Quite eventful as usual. I had to call the out of hours District Nurses to come and redress his legs (weeping oedema/ulcers) as he had taken off the bandages. He's being assessed for a Care Home tomorrow, let's hope they can take him, it is long overdue.

Good afternoon, still cold and frosty here. The sky is all blue and I have been watching the planes making con trails as they fly to America. Should be doing all sorts of things but gazing out of the window is quite nice smile

I'm also not dressed! However I have already fixed the cupboard door in the kitchen which came off around Xmas - a fiddly job, but I am pleased with myself.
I think my flareup of colitis which came on on New Year's Eve is actually going and I have a bit more energy.
I am going to get up.

Good morning - just as Lona says. My visitors have gone, after scraping and spraying the frost off the car. I am vegging out in my PJs though I have a mound of bed linen and towels to wash. I'm in a procrastinating kind of mood, though when am I not?

Newish here too showergel welcome, hope you enjoy lunch out.

Happy birthday Brenda flowers. Heavy frost but clear blue sky here in Manchester. Go for it Showergel and enjoy yourself. When I eat out alone and locally, there are 3 or 4 places where I feel very comfortable, so it can be a bit of trial and error at first. Good luck with that.

Nelliemoser I think we both live in the same location (city).

Nelliemoser Sun 04-Jan-15 09:45:58

Good Morning! I can confirm its frosty in Cheshire. Roughly where are you Showergel.
Looking out of my bedroom window at about 9ish I saw a hotair balloon flying just over the houses at the end of our road. It must be B cold in one of those today.

ShowerGel Sun 04-Jan-15 09:35:26

Morning - an infrequent poster here.
It is ice-white outside (Cheshire).
Porridge being eaten.
May seek out a Sunday lunch later - will be a new experience as I will be doing it on my own.

Very frosty and bright here in the north west. Planning a long walk and Big Breakfast.

tanith Sun 04-Jan-15 09:17:42

Frosty and very foggy in West London, no plans apart from scrambled eggs for brekkie grin.

daffydil Sun 04-Jan-15 09:16:48

nannotgran it is better in your part of Essex. Here in mid Essex is it misty, damp, grey and cold. We have no particular plans for the day.
Congrats Brenda and have a god day everyone.

Good morning all!

Frosty and foggy in North Leicestershire this morning. DH and I are going to Ashbourne today for lunch. It's my birthday tomorrow but, as DH is back at work and really busy, we decided to go to our favourite bit of the Peak District for the day. Unfortunately, it looks foggy and frosty there too! sad

Hope we don't get a phone call while we are so far away!

Enjoy your days everyone! sunshine

ninathenana Sun 04-Jan-15 08:54:35

Good morning all. Seems to have stopped raining. It's calm and dry today in East Sussex. It's our 46th wedding anniversary today. Nothing planned.
