Morning folks! This morning I have news: I didn't wake up during the night smile

Have just opened the curtains and the sky is orange over to the east. Better get my camera out.

Good morning! Good to hear you slept well thatbags, makes such a difference smile. Still dark here, damp and chilly, no sign of sunrise yet.

Morning All

Good for your Bags - I woke at four so it can't just have been the weather!

An apricot sky here too, clear and chilly. Friends coming round for drinklies and nibbles at lunchtime as an early 12th night celebration. I may have overstocked.

Beautiful sunrise in North Yorkshire. Very cold and frosty. DH in bed with flu, DDs and DGS going home today. Decks coming down! Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all. Seems to have stopped raining. It's calm and dry today in East Sussex. It's our 46th wedding anniversary today. Nothing planned.

ninathenana Sun 04-Jan-15 08:54:35

Morning all.

A dry foggy morning here in N Kent and eerily still.

Hope the fog clears for our planned walk along the prom.

Good morning all!

Frosty and foggy in North Leicestershire this morning. DH and I are going to Ashbourne today for lunch. It's my birthday tomorrow but, as DH is back at work and really busy, we decided to go to our favourite bit of the Peak District for the day. Unfortunately, it looks foggy and frosty there too! sad

Hope we don't get a phone call while we are so far away!

Enjoy your days everyone! sunshine

Congratulations Brenda flowers

daffydil Sun 04-Jan-15 09:16:48

nannotgran it is better in your part of Essex. Here in mid Essex is it misty, damp, grey and cold. We have no particular plans for the day.
Congrats Brenda and have a god day everyone.

tanith Sun 04-Jan-15 09:17:42

Frosty and very foggy in West London, no plans apart from scrambled eggs for brekkie grin.

Iam64 Sun 04-Jan-15 09:21:34

Very frosty and bright here in the north west. Planning a long walk and Big Breakfast.

ShowerGel Sun 04-Jan-15 09:35:26

Morning - an infrequent poster here.
It is ice-white outside (Cheshire).
Porridge being eaten.
May seek out a Sunday lunch later - will be a new experience as I will be doing it on my own.

Nelliemoser Sun 04-Jan-15 09:45:58

Good Morning! I can confirm its frosty in Cheshire. Roughly where are you Showergel.
Looking out of my bedroom window at about 9ish I saw a hotair balloon flying just over the houses at the end of our road. It must be B cold in one of those today.

ShowerGel Sun 04-Jan-15 09:52:21

Nelliemoser I think we both live in the same location (city).

Agus Sun 04-Jan-15 10:11:27

Morning everyone. Frosty but blue skies and sunshine again today. Hope you got a good shot of sunrise earlier bags and very good news you had a good nights sleep.

Congratulations for your 46th Brenda flowers

Hope there are no interruptions to your birthday lunch kitty. Fingers crossed.

I hope if you do decide to go out for Sunday lunch ShowerGel you do enjoy it and find it an experience you are happy to do again.

vegasmags Sun 04-Jan-15 10:16:58

Happy birthday Brenda flowers. Heavy frost but clear blue sky here in Manchester. Go for it Showergel and enjoy yourself. When I eat out alone and locally, there are 3 or 4 places where I feel very comfortable, so it can be a bit of trial and error at first. Good luck with that.

appygran Sun 04-Jan-15 10:43:16

Good morning all.

Bright clear and very frosty here in Chester. It is now beginning to thaw.

Newish here too showergel welcome, hope you enjoy lunch out.

Congratulations Brenda flowers and kitty enjoy your day. I love driving to Ashbourne on a sunny day, and the church there is very interesting.

Juliette Sun 04-Jan-15 10:55:34

DH and 'lodger dog' just back from their walk on a cold and frosty morning here. kittyylester we too love Ashbourne, all that area really. We are lucky to live so close to so many beautiful parts of the country. Hope everyone has a good day.

annodomini Sun 04-Jan-15 11:29:10

Good morning - just as Lona says. My visitors have gone, after scraping and spraying the frost off the car. I am vegging out in my PJs though I have a mound of bed linen and towels to wash. I'm in a procrastinating kind of mood, though when am I not?

AlieOxon Sun 04-Jan-15 11:43:25

I'm also not dressed! However I have already fixed the cupboard door in the kitchen which came off around Xmas - a fiddly job, but I am pleased with myself.
I think my flareup of colitis which came on on New Year's Eve is actually going and I have a bit more energy.
I am going to get up.

harrigran Sun 04-Jan-15 12:26:14

Good afternoon, still cold and frosty here. The sky is all blue and I have been watching the planes making con trails as they fly to America. Should be doing all sorts of things but gazing out of the window is quite nice smile
