Cutlery

I think the reason I would rather use stainless steel cutlery is that it was my job to do the silver when I was a child and I don't want to do it now!!

Old silver plated cutlery from grandparents or parents can be sold by weight for the silver which is in them. We had two canteens of huge cutlery - very heavy spoons etc and altogether they weighed almost 4 kilos.
We took them to the man who buys gold and he gave us 10 Euros per kilo.
better we get the money than some house clearance men when we have to downsize, Fortunately when I left Sheffield in 1968 I bought an award winning set of knives, forks and spoons plus serving spoons which I still use today. stainess steel of course.
