An Electric Toaster which actually works please

Can anyone please recommend an electric toaster which actually works. I have had countless toasters in the last couple of years from the very expensive to the cheapest from Tesco and not one has evenly, completely, not burnt the bread. The cheap one from Tesco came close but didn't last long before the elements failed to glow.

Wish we still had the coal fire - now that really did make the best tasting toast ever, even if you got cooked yourself.

Does anyone remember the song "Toast" by Streetband?

Nothing like toast. Mine's from Asda too I think, just bog standard but does the job although I do wish they made them to take the Warburtons large slice. It sticks out of my toaster.
