Heard this sung recently and found myself a little confused. I'm sure we used to sing 'I will not cease from mental strife' and now it seems to be 'mental fight' Am I misremembering or did the word get changed?

I think the song is relevant to today. Even though the remaining still standing "dark satanic mills" have mostly become offices or workshops.

I don't think 'build Jerusalem' refers to the city of Jerusalem, rather to the allegorical interpretation of the New Jerusalem of Jesus Christ.

There is also an interesting reference in this link to the 'dark satanic mills' which could be flour mills destroyed in 1791, plus some other interpretations which have already been posted above.
