Thinking of you and MacSporran this afternoon Soop, all the best xx
Thank you for your kind thoughts. There is no significant change in the size of the aneurysm. We are very relieved. He visits GP tomorrow regarding the latest blood test results. We are lucky to have such a fine NHS. x
Bellasnana Your dear sister continues to go through an awful time. I cannot begin to imagine how she manages to cope. Having you with her must be a blessing. I wish that I could give you a real bouquet of beautiful
So pleased soop that MacS's aneurysm has behaved and stayed the same, you must both be relieved.
Bella I hope your sister is not feeling too worn down by the chemo, it must be very hard to cope with
Soop That's good to hear.
Big (((hugs))) Lona. I hope that you are enjoying fine weather. It is glorious in bonnie Kintyre.
Thank you Nellie and number
I'm about to log on to the Sloggi knicker site. They are fairly costly but they are comfortable and they do keep their shape.
I'm relieved to hear that he is ok, soop, I hope that no-one else takes a turn for the worse, either.
A photo of me and my girlies, not a sloggi in sight but I spent half the day wishing that I had worn my shapewear (because of photos) and half the day feeling glad that I hadn't after hearing some of the anguish going on in the Ladies'!
Which is mum and which DD? such glamour!!
Woweee! Such beautiful ladies. janer you look amazing. And what's more, the sun was shining brightly. Try to upload a few more for us lot...you know how nosy we are.
I have to dash to feed the cats. I shall return after lunch tomorrow. Ironing duties in the morning. Love to you all.
That is good news soop he is being well cared for.
Bella I keep my fingers crossed that your sister shows some sign of improvement. She has had such a tough time, as have you.
I haven't been far away soop. I thought I'd been in the kitchen recently but perhaps I was sitting quietly in the corner.Week before last I was helping out with the GSs in Oxfordshire and spent a few days last week recovering. They're good kids but you need eyes in the back of your head with the younger one - 7 and devious. I've been suffering for months with a blocked nose which has got much worse over the last few days, developing into a sinus infection and very painful at times. Anyway today I scored an appointment with one of our GPs whom I hadn't met but had heard good things about. He had a student who took a case study quite efficiently and the doc himself was very thorough. All the GPs I know in our practice are good at listening to patients. So I now have two weeks of antibiotics and have taken to my bed this afternoon for a bit of recovery time. Having been in denial for some time, I'm giving in to feeling sorry for myself. I'm so glad McS's aneurism is no worse. It's a more common condition than you'd think. If only my dad's had been diagnosed...but that was many years ago when checks were not routine. My sister recently was shown to have a small aneurism and, since they sometimes run in families, she urged me to have a scan which fortunately showed up nothing worse than a bunch of gallstones which haven't ever caused me any trouble. Well, that's the end of my health bulletin. I hope everyone has a pleasant evening. I'm off to see what's edible in my freezer!
So pleased that the aneurysm hasn`t grown. My hubby`s might not have grown anymore, but as it was 10 cms when it was first spotted, they took action immediately. They told us that they grow at approx. half a cm a year, so he`d had it for a fair while.
I want/nay need, another holiday, this time without the Grumpy Old Man!
I`m glad you had glorious weather Soop, it`s been very dull and a bit cooler down here.
JaneR, lovely photo, the little girl is a beauty, like someone in one of the old masters paintings.
She is a little horror at times - a real Diva. More photos as requested, I keep forgetting I have to shrink the files first.
What lovely pictures jr. You look very glamorous - love the dress.
The dress was chosen for its comfort and forgiving nature, and 'expansion when needed' abilities! It's very nice on its own, great for the dancing in the evening, but both the bolero and stole came in very useful that day as we had sunshine and rain.
My niece had managed to grow her hair long enough to cover her scars and have it put up, she is lucky that she shares the family's fast-growing hair genes.
She looks truly beautiful! As do you, much too young to qualify to be on GN, I think you must be a fraud
But what a very very happy occasion, all the more so because all the bride has been through, brave girl!
Well - thank you! All I got from DBH was that I scrub up quite well!
Yes, it was a very important thing in her life, planning this wedding has kept her going through three major ops and four years of worry. I do worry now that she will feel a bit flat - well, a lot flat. She will need another big project to take her mind off things.
janer I love your photographs. The bride looks truly serene. She has done extraordinarily well, considering the traumas she has endured. The wee girl is as number says...just like a someone from an old masters portrait. She is very photogenic...as are you.
anno the on-going pain of sinusitis is wicked. You should have asked for help long before now. Just take it easy (if at all possible) and give the antibiotics time to get on top of the inflammation.
We both had an appointment with the GP early this morning. He is a locum and just wonderful with it. He has taken MacSporran under his wing, so to speak. He never appears to be rushed.
The bowel hernia which was operated on in 2013 has recurred. I'm to be referred back to the surgeon. It's very likely that I shall need it repaired. I hope that bags will visit me, if so. She has been such a good pal and has made several visits to different hospitals...in fact, the very first time that we met was in Ross Hall hospital after hip surgery.
It is a glorious day. I'm adding a pic of the front garden view, the seed heads of the colossal gunners and a photo taken on Exmoor of MacS and me 25 years ago.
soop I am so sorry to hear that the bowel hernia has reoccurred because you need that at present like a hole in the head because of MacSporran's problems. Such a pity that you have to travel such a distance to the hospital.
We grumble in London but we do have choice.
janerowena Gorgeous photos! If I may say, the groom is a hunk and the bride is beautiful
and you look lovely!
soop sorry to hear that more surgery will be necessary. Xx
I agree completely with everything that Lona said.
Yay! The bridegroom is extremely tasty. The bride's bouquet truly beautiful...very delicate colours are so right for the occasion.
I also like the bride's hair style.
