I'm gobsmacked!! I've never seen Roger, or anyone, play such incredible tennis! Poor Andy, he played brilliantly and got nowhere!

I back Federer to beat Djokovic on Sunday but it's sure to be a great match. On Monday I will have withdrawal symptoms as usual. And that won't, this year, involve Magnums or any equivalent!

I so wanted that match to go to five sets, just for the sheer joy of watching them both at their best. Federer is my all-time favourite so I'd like him to take the championship. I don't want it to end, either.

I'm afraid I'm not very keen on Novak, he's just a bit too smug, and taking his bad temper out on the ball girls/boys is just not acceptable. So I'm definitely rooting for Roger, never seen him throw a hissy fit!

I couldn't watch it. I needed to go out anyway; I stuck it out till it was 5 games all in the second set and Andy was still in with a chance but I couldn't bear to watch any more.No matter how well he played Federer was playing that bit better. I may try to watch it on catchup now that it's over, just to see tennis at it's very best.

Phew! The match was truly well played by both contestants. Roger is just too good. I shall now support him against Novak. As for the ladies...I would like the Spanish newcomer to lift the trophy. Also, of course, Jamie's double final is later today. I wish him all the best.

About to sup my coffee. The sun isn't wearing his hat today. Do any Kitcheners remember the song...'The sun has got his hat on'? I shall not be able to get the tune out of my head for the rest of the day.

Did anyone watch the documentary about Arthur Ashe that's been repeated recently? What a remarkable man he was; everyone who spoke about him adored and respected him so much [and quite rightly so]. He said that, with all the trials and tribulations oh his life [heart attacks, Aids] the biggest problem he always faced was just 'being black' even when he was famous . Truly a man years ahead of his time.

Tegan He was a star. A lovely, humble man. I also loved Pete Sampras. One of my other favourites is Andy Roddick. He was commentating on a recent match. He has such a friendly disposition and pleasant sense of humour.

Andy Roddick is a welcome contrast to John MacEnroe. His comments are thoughtful whereas Mac sounds - and often is - opinionated.

John MacEnroe is very knowledgeable about tennis without doubt, but he has verbal diarrhoea unfortunately! IMO.

Sue Barker looks so much older when she's presenting at Wimbledon than she does on 'A Question of Sport'. The make-up department does a good job for the latter! Or has the Botox just worn off?

That was another 'edge of the seat' match, so well played by Garbine, and Serena is very gracious.

For a split second I thought that Garbine may upset the applecart and for once it did not go all of Serena's way- an excellent match.

I have thought at times, not necessarily today, that the commentators should stop having their private conservations and end talk when a match restarts.
