Another beautiful day of blue skies and sunshine. Still no rain. I have no lawn left, but the trees are green and cooling.

It seems a bit fresher here today. It has been very hot with very oppressive afternoons for the last week or so but last night was a little cooler so I hope it's a pleasant weekend.

Good morning everyone. Congratulations Gaga! We have one more to go yet! I am taking it easy a bit today. DH had surgery for a hernia yesterday so we were up at 4.30 to be at the hospital for 7.00a.m. They did not discharge him till 6.00p.m. and I had to drive him home through big city rush hour traffic in a car I had never driven (nor had any desire to drive) further than our dentist in the village! I was an absolute nervous wreck when we got home!

Glorious day. Off to grandson's sports day this afternoon. Dog is grumping as I write this as I won't let him into the garden to dig up a mouse in my delphinium bed.

Morning all! 50 years ago today I was nervously waiting for 11am when my DH and I were married. It feels like yesterday.

This morning it is my WI meeting and I am supplying cake for everyone. This afternoon our family start to arrive and tonight my DS is flying in from a business trip to India. DD has planned all sorts of activities for the weekend but DH and I are just looking forward to having our lovely family with us to celebrate and be thankful for the last 50 years.

Lovely day on the High Weald. Charity shop this pm and Saturday morning. I will be exhausted!

Happy Friday from sunny Colchester. Looks like another lovely day. Housework, grocery delivery, ironing in front of the tennis (snap kitty) and preparing bags of food and equipment to take to my cousin's for a big family bbq tomorrow.

Rather grey and overcast in Northumberland at present. The forecast is for a warmer day than yesterday, I hope it is right. Must prepare for our holiday, washing and ironing to do, and I must fit in a visit to see Dad sometime this afternoon.

Another sunny morning in the Surrey Hills.

This morning I will be at Little Fishes, a church service for babies and toddlers. We will be in the Barn Church for the first time as the road going to our parish church is closed for 'patching'.

Then taking the terrible teens clothes shopping!

It is a fabulous start to the day in my bit of the East Midlands! Sainsbury's today rather than yesterday so I will spend the day being very ! We spent the day with DD2 and her 2 gorgeous girls - much better than going to Sainsbury's!

Ironing and watching Wimbledon this afternoon!

Morning Mick, morning All

The cold front has passed and it's a lovely morning here. We went for a sail in our little boat yesterday and it was freezing! Would like to go out again today but bumped into a builder chap who keeps a boat near us who said he'd come and give us a quote for a solid roof for the conservatory today - and forgot to take his number. So we'll have to stay in 'till he calls us. May clean some windows instead so expect rain tomorrow!
