Walking under a ladder

I'm about as superstitious as the next person in that I knock on wood, throw spilled salt over my shoulder and avoid walking under ladders.

We're having some work done on the house and today the scaffolders came. They've erected the scaffold at the back in such a way that I have to walk under a ladder each time I go out of the back door. So here's a chance to see if it really is bad luck to walk under a ladder. The scaffolding will be in place for around two weeks. In that time I will have no choice but to walk under it several times a day. If my world falls apart then it will provide evidence for the superstition. If all goes on as normal then it will provide evidence against the superstition.

hmm It's no fun being a lab rat sad

I know its shamrock but it was the nearest I could get to a four leafed clover!

Yesterday we took the children out of lunch because we've been trapped in all week waiting for the plumber who didn't come. After the meal I tendered my card and .....it was declined...aaaarrrrrgggghhhh. Turns out my DLA which should have been paid in on Tuesday, wasn't. I didn't check because it's never late. Well not until this week. DH had to go home for some cash. It was so humiliating.

I phoned the DWP. It's on it's way. Computer issue hmm

I am not really superstitious , I do greet magpies, throw salt over my shoulder, never put new shoes on a table , never open an umberella untill outside the house, never cut or file my nails on a Sunday and I wish I hadn't read this thread because I put my left shoe on first , explains much
