Tegan, what on earth is a 'poooter', I suspect it is a bastardised version of 'computer', how on earth did you come to make it into 'pooter'.

Surely you could use a better word that that , we are all grown ups, even my 2 year old DGD says 'I pad' when she refers to a computer even if its not an I pad. Please refer to my thread about correct pronunciation.

Pooter is quite a common word for it now.

If FB is running slowly, get rid of any other windows you have open. If you don't know how to do that, shut back down, start up again and go straight to FB.

btw I call my television 'the tv'. I don't call it something silly like 'the tooter' or 'tellywelly'.

It's just more slang, ethel. It really is a very common name for it, DD and most of her friends call it that, as well as a fair few of my friends. It's no worse than calling it a comp. Or a CP, or some other abbreviation.

Why are you having such a go at Tegan-, Etheltbags? For heaven's sake would you be as rude to her or any of us, face to face?
Lots of perfectly mature, intelligent, educated etc etc people refer to their "pooter" or "telly", my Sixth form at one time use to refer to the "Dick and Mary" (dictionary), so what?
I think it is the height of bad manners not to say cruel to pick on another person's use of language.
How would you have felt if everybody had pounced on you, going Ha, ha, that's ironic! because you used the word pronounciation" in the thread you started on mispronunciation?

There's another weird word for you - mojo. Lord knows where that one started.

What may seem silly to you, does not always seem so to others. There are times when honesty is not necessary, and too much of it can be a fault.

My mother was really spiteful at times - yet she always told us 'If you can't find something nice to say, say nothing, it's safer and kinder'. I think she meant we only had to be nice to her!

I thought at one time a mojo was a mans willie at one time when the word was popular in the 70s. Ive never heard the word since then, btw I never lost anything when I had my op apart from several feet of bowel. Ive never let it stop me and Im swimming, running, kicking the ball and going on the climbing frame with DGD, she is asking me to climb trees soon. Thank you Elegran

I do so hate these childish words like "willy/willie(?)" don't you?

I do mean Penis, but used the w word because there are so many prudes on here they might think I was being rude, this is in the same way as I always abbreviate swear words.

No reason for the correct anatomical term to be considered rude or an expletive. I think there's a thread about that somewhere.
