Sheltered housing

Has anyone privately rented sheltered housing from the LA, who could give me some advice.

How easy was it to apply and how much is the rent.

My severely disabled relative is finding it financially impossible to stay on the house. We need to sell it. He is an amputee, and is losing his sight.

I think he needs a full housing and social needs assessment. I would start by contacting local social services and the probably the GP too

Thank you for that TeeTime. Before I contact the LA , I have to convince him first, which is why I want to find out what sort of rent he might pay.I think it is the only way to sell it to him that it makes economic sense.

None of the info on his LA website gives rents charged , so I wondered if anyone here was paying full rent for such accommodation.

I would think it varies through out the country.
