Good morning to you all, I have a really horrible cough and know for certain that the other half is going to get it and it is going to be twice as bad! However, we have the makings of another really fine day, and I have to prepare for our friends visit in a few days time, which I know will brighten the time they are spending with us. Very foggy in Tynedale. I hope the sun will manage to find a way through. Going to Carlisle later to pick up an eBay purchase for DD. Funeral went very smoothly yesterday. Four GC were bearers, they did very well. We had a good catch - up with cousins I haven't seen for years!

Lovely start to the day here in Chelmsford too. The cleaners gave the house its fortnightly blitz yesterday so I always feel I don't have to do much for a day or two .

Good morning from a sunny North Leicestershire.

I feel as though I've been up for hours but just hanging around waiting. We had someone come to give us another quote for doing the drive (hopefully not quite so eyewatering as the last one!) at 8.oo and a friend of DD3's was supposed to be coming to collect (and pay for) a cake at 7.15. She's still not come!

Slept late this morning, unusual for me.
Another sunny day in N Kent.
I was supposed to be having lunch with a friend I haven't seen for months but her DD has just cancelled on her behalf. So now at a loose end.

A bit of a surprise yesterday when we suddenly had half an inch of rain at lunchtime. I wonder if it will be enough to generate any greenery.
A lovely day today, especially when I received an email from GNHQ saying that I have won a very good prize.
