Relative freedom
Relative peace
Relative good health service etc

Anyone else?

Until you get round to sewing on the patch, then it would be optional, yes.

RQ you are in the supernatural bit, where weird things happen, and female vicars run around screaming, you need a flag all of your own!

So that's two more to add to the union flag rosequartz

Glad there is so much agreement about being glad to being British.

As someone has said, I expect if we lived elsewhere, we may be quite glad to live there too.
But Britain does seem to have much to be glad about.

A patch centrepiece, Can it be optional?

rosequartz Sun 04-Oct-15 23:25:04

I'm in the independent bit, neither England nor Wales grin

Anniebach Sun 04-Oct-15 23:23:31

Thank you

Elegran Sun 04-Oct-15 23:23:18

But it is not a spare patch, it is a centrepiece!

rosesarered Sun 04-Oct-15 23:23:06

That's what people tell you when they give you a tiny present.grin

rosequartz Sun 04-Oct-15 23:22:19

Or even a bit on the side.
hmm
OK, I'll design a new one.

Anniebach Sun 04-Oct-15 23:21:49

Good things come in little packages ,think diamonds , no, think rubies

rosesarered Sun 04-Oct-15 23:19:17

Nope, Big England, beyond little Wales.smile

Anniebach Sun 04-Oct-15 23:18:39

So sorry,wrong rose

Anniebach Sun 04-Oct-15 23:18:12

But are you not in little England beyond Wales grin

rosesarered Sun 04-Oct-15 23:16:57

That's funny, I have a few union flags but no Welsh flag.

Anniebach Sun 04-Oct-15 23:16:15

Rosequartz , who would want to be a spare patch sad

rosesarered Sun 04-Oct-15 23:15:34

Free flags for all! That could be the rallying cry for some new age type leader couldn't it? I think that could be a winner.

rosequartz Sun 04-Oct-15 23:15:17

Perhaps we could have something like the Australian flag, only it could be a Welsh dragon with a Union Jack in the corner.

I'll get my sketch pad out tomorrow
moon

Anniebach Sun 04-Oct-15 23:14:44

I do have a few Welsh flags but not one union flag , I do not put my Welsh flag in the garden though

Elegran Sun 04-Oct-15 23:13:23

They don't always value what they have always had, either. An elected parliament, free speech, impartial justice, all taken for granted.

rosesarered Sun 04-Oct-15 23:12:32

Elegran grin

rosequartz Sun 04-Oct-15 23:11:58

I think being a spare patch stitched on is an insult
Oh, sorry, I was just trying to be helpful and save some money at the same time. I didn't mean it to be insulting.
It would be a very nice patch, a flag within a flag perhaps.

Elegran Sun 04-Oct-15 23:11:29

Who knows - if everyone were issued with a free flag, perhaps they would be more inclined to use them? Perhaps not, though, people don't always value what they have not paid for.

rosequartz Sun 04-Oct-15 23:10:04

And that we say 'so sorry' when some idiot walks into us
Yes, why do we do that?

I like the changing seasons, although I am less keen on some than others.
Deciduous trees and the autumn colours, even though they make a mess when the leaves drop.

Elegran Sun 04-Oct-15 23:09:34

But it would be very expensive to replace all flags in public places with a completely new set - our taxes would probably go up to pay for them.
