Fingers crossed, someone out there is using a knee brace. I could barely hobble for more than 20 feet before the brace, the pain was so bad.
From the 20th October I've been wearing the NHS brace all day due to my tibia having osteonecrosis. The brace lessens pressure and weight on my tibia. Being positive, pain levels are reduced.
No-one has told me what is waiting in the wings. I'd much prefer to know and face whatever it may be.
I hope someone can give me the low-down.
The physio told me to stay off my feet for 6 weeks. Yet, the man who fitted the brace said I should walk about, otherwise there'd be no point in me having a brace.
My DH is desperate for us to ride on a steam train I'm unsure if I should say yes or wait till to hear what the physio says in 3-4 weeks.
To whom do I listen? What would you do, in my place?
