Is cashmere worth it?

They are worth it if you can't bear the feel of wool next to your skin.
I handwash mine and give them a short spin in a laundry bag - no disasters.

Can't bring myself to buy any 're price and potential for washing disaster.

Expensive and a pain to wash but so warm and comfy to wear.

My personal feeling is no because mine (one) appears to bauble if that is the word, very easily.

I'm debating getting a jumper. I do love the feel of cashmere but am I right in thinking you always have to hand wash? And the price puts me off too. So....cashmere owners...is it worth it?
