elizabeth taylor running a safe house

I didn't know about the safe house but knew of her activism. A gutsy lady in so many ways - shame she'll be remembered for her love life mostly. Oh and her eyes. And her jewels ( see what I mean?)

yes I read a bit more about her after I read that piece - I must confess I got a bit choked up reading it, she continued despite death threats etc

She did much good for those affected by AIDS, her own daughter in law was diagnosed with it in the eighties and she had many close homosexual friends so would have been so aware of the illness and the prejudice , good for her
