Good morning all.
An early start for me and it's pouring with rain and windy with it here in Stockport. I am being taken to the local panto today by GD1 and her friend who taking her GM as well. So nice of them to treat "the old folk".

I'm feeling slightly more normal this morning so I'm taking our cleaner to clean DS's flat. His PA does some cleaning but she's not brilliant. She is a real tonic for DS though so we don't hold it against her. Luckily, his flat is near Sainsbury's so I can do some shopping while she gets on.

Very wild and windy overnight here but I'm hoping it's calming down a bit now.

Good morning from an undecided looking weatherwise Colchester. I think it's the calm before the storm. I use the word storm loosely as it will just be a bit of wind and rain, nothing like a lot of you are experiencing. It's still in double figures here and our worst problem is that the Christmas ice rink keeps melting.

We had a red sunrise here - streaked with grey clouds and quite breezy, so I guessed the forecast from that would be a nice dry start followed by rain. The sky is now an autumnal peachy colour with more grey! The rain is a coming!

Good morning everyone.
It's cold and damp in Tynedale, the rain is just off and on, not much but a nuisance. I've gone back to bed as I'm suffering with a rather heavy cold and I feel all achy and miserable. Hopefully it won't last long.
