Good Morning Saturday

It's a beautiful day here on Gran Canaria where we have been since the beginning of December. Christmas preparations are happily much more low key than at home, it's lovely not to have it in one's face all the time. We are leaving today, although I gather it's unseasonably mild in London, almost summer I gather

Morning all! It's very mild and there's even a bit of sun here on the south east Hampshire coast. We are having a Christmas lunch at a local gastro pub today with DD DSiL DGD and DGS as they are off to Costa Rica tomorrow for two weeks.
Going back to theirs for presents etc. so I am wearing my festive tee- shirt! For the first time I can feel a bit of Christmas spirit beginning - hope it continues.

Alea have a wonderful, joyous day and try and remember every bit of it - it always goes too quickly!

Its bright and fresh in my part of Essex today and I have a particularly horrible cough and bug to go with it !!

Spoilt DH and had a Christmas cake made for him ( he's the only one who really likes it ) so off to collect that later, then some wrapping, some crafting and a sleepover with 2 small visitors whilst their Mum and Dad have a date night !!

In all the 25 years our DDs lived at home I NEVER remember a date night lol xx

Cooking today. I made mince pies too early - they've all been ate. Ditto sausage rolls (and I froze them!).

Delivery from Sainsbury's p.m. and having one of their ready meals tonight - the Charlie Bigham ones are excellent.

It's blowing a gale here in Wiltshire, I've just taken the gobbydog for a walk. Her owner was rushed into hospital last night and is very poorly so we have a hairy lodger for the foreseeable future ?!
I'm taking bf's husband in to the hospital see her this morning so all previous plans are on hold.

I have had a great night's sleep and am thrilled and excited at the prospect of today's celebrations.
Oh one brief moment when I woke up and thought "Oh no, I've forgotten the wine, it's still in the garage" and then I remembered, No that's Christmas!!

Good morning from breezy Colchester. A southerly wind is due to bring record December temperature of 17c today. It has been too warm to wear my Christmas Jumper. May have to invest in a Christmas t shirt!

There's patches of blue sky here in N Kent. Paths are damp but I don't know if it rained or not.
I will wrap the presents today.

Slight Cheshire weather update. When I was in the kitchen just now getting my cup of tea I thought I saw hail snow or frozen rain tracking down the window.

Dark and mild here in Stockport I am still in bed so can say no more.
My cleaner is coming this morning to put me straight for family coming tomorrow,it won't take long for 2 teenagers to undo that good work but who cares?
