new facebook buttons

They look similar to the odd little - minuscule in fact - yellow pimples that keep appearing on here. (Not the official GN ones)

I can think of other ways to appear a bit of a twit!
If you don't like them you don't have to use them

I must be a twit then as I've just clicked on the new 'heart' button to quickly show my GD that I've seen the beautiful picture of my GrtGS crawling this morning that she sent me as I didn't have time to write a reply, I'll go back later to do that.
If you don't like them just ignore as Lona says.

One of my FB friends has just put her dog down. "Happy" to have the new sad icon.

Theyre too small to be effective IMO.

As I daren't touch any buttons being unsure what I might be doing I respect those who are more at ease with Facebook! Am only a member so I can see pics of my grandchildren when posted. Terrified of losing my privacy!

I think I will set aside a few minutes to experiment with my Facebook page buttons. My fingers often hover over links and icons with a certain degree of anxiety.

I have to say I like them.
You sometimes need to show you've read the posting yet when it's something sad or unpleasant it doesn't seem right to tick 'Like'.
This way is, in my opinion, better.

For some reason I am now unable to 'comment' on Facebook. I have done it lots of times, so I know how to do it, but it just isn't working. Any ideas? (Sorry, slightly off topic)

I would just like a Dislike button then when people put political posts on facebook I can use this. Facebook is for fun and keeping in touch with friends and family and politics has no place on it.

Rubysong I am having the same trouble with FB, I can comment on some but not others. Also it won't let me tick Like on any facebook page. Very odd. Let's hope some Techy person can help us.

If someone sends me something political I just ignore it.

Not sure I agree with you on that one Hattiehelga I think Facebook has a part to play in keeping people informed about current events and raising awareness of important issues which sometimes includes political items. Of course the fun bits are important too !

I've also got this problem with Facebook. I've been 'blocked' from using the official page for a TV programme I like. I can still read the page but I can't post any comments, reply to other people's comments or like/love anything. Also all the comments I'd posted before have been removed. I've tried to investigate why this is but all I can find is other people saying this has happened to them and apparently no explanation is given, there's no right of appeal and you're usually blocked for 60 days. I don't think I said anything controversial but if I did I'd just like to know what it was!

I don't remember putting anything controversial Linbrikat and NanKate. Let's hope that things go back to normal after the 60 days. I thought I may have pressed something by accident and changed the settings.

I've just solved one problem Rubysong. On Facebook if you want to like something they now have a horizontal list of little icons. You hover your cursor over the one you want and click and I got the tick I wanted. Have a go ?
