How about stringing together a few things that during our childhood/youth times we would never believe the things that are happening today.

To start off here are a few:

1. Following, to the letter, an American book on how to bring up your new baby.

2. Children being the tail to wag the dog.

3. Giving children their choice of food at all meal times.

4. Grandparents having no value except being childminders and inheritance providers.

5. The school term/half term holidays' work evacuation.

Just the tip of the iceberg - enjoy.

Eating in the street, BBbevan? Didn't you ever have fish and chips in newspaper? We always visited the chippie on the way home from Guides on a Friday night.

I'd never have imagined replacement joints, not to mention needing -and getting - them.
Women driving buses and HGVs
The vast expansion of university education
Children doing maths I've never even heard of
The Information Super-highway; does anyone sell encyclopaedias round the doors nowadays? wink
Trams making a comeback!

Actually I meant constant eating most everywhere. Annodomini. With a lot of people's terrible manners it is often not a pretty sight.

Young people not being able to afford a home.

Sleeping with your boyfriend with acceptance by your parents.
