Glad I'm not there in the mud this year. Mind you - it's not my idea of fun. I've been to the Leeds Fest and enjoyed that, although it was over ten years ago, but Glasto is just too much, too big and especially in the rain..Nooooo sad

Used to go to Reading and Knebworth in my youth but can't remember it being as muddy as Glasto! Must be climate change.......grin or maybe rose coloured specs.

ELO were Fab U Lus just did their music faultlessly - great to enjoy it on a comfy sofa with a large glass of red!!

Yes ninathenana I too was shocked at Adele's bad language. I feel it's a shame as she writes and sings so amazingly. No wonder the bbc put out a warning first. I still love her though!

Love Glastonbury when there's no festival,

me too

Yes, Adele was amazing DanniRae
I didn't realise she's such a potty mouth though grin

I do like Coldplay but am I the only one who thinks all their stuff sounds the same?

Good closing headline act though.

merlotgran Sun 26-Jun-16 19:20:20

I love ELO.

Looking forward to Coldplay.

Loved Adele and Cindy Lauper. Watching ELO . Glad I'm not there in the mud.

Love Glastonbury when there's no festival,
Can't stand anything about Adele,

DanniRae Sun 26-Jun-16 16:52:28

Wasn't Adele amazing? I have had her songs on my mind all day.

Love Adele. Could've done without the swearing though. I'm not a prude but was taken aback when seconds after sweetly lifting little girl back off the stage, she swore. Then a bit later discussed taking a whizz and worse! down the front (used the not so nice words). If all over 18, well, whatever, but I don't like the little ones hearing it.

merlotgran Sat 25-Jun-16 23:49:24

Adele was great.

ELO and Coldplay tomorrow.

Music - good. Mud - bad (oh so bad!). For me, camping not much better smile

ninathenana Sat 25-Jun-16 22:31:57

I went to a women's camp at the site at Pilton, in the 80s....was great. Nostalgia....

[HannahLoisLuke] I went to the first one, as well!

Didn't see you there! grin

rubysong Sat 25-Jun-16 15:46:54

We went to a festival in Yorkshire many many years ago (Krumlin?) It started sunny, then rained and blew, our little tie_dyed tent couldn't cope. Then the organisers ran off with all the money and the bands didn't get paid. It was all very weird.

Tizliz Fri 24-Jun-16 18:37:40

Mud! My friend was there the day they emptied the toilets out but blew instead of sucked.

rosesarered Fri 24-Jun-16 14:42:19

Mud, mud, glorious mud, nothing quite like it for cooling the blood!

HannahLoisLuke Fri 24-Jun-16 14:31:25

I went to the very first one and the third. Only a one day event then, free and then £1 and about a thousand people there. Loved it, but couldn't face it now. Used to love Knebworth as well, been there a few times.
Cropredy is good too if you enjoy the folksy vibe.

Loopy my idea of hell as well, at any age!

"One of the joys of getting old....don't have to go to Glastonbury."

I didn't realise that it was previously compulsory shock

Christinefrance Thu 23-Jun-16 16:55:30

Loopylou I agree totally with you. I can see how it appeals to people just not me. A comfy sofa, glass of wine and chocolate are much more my style. Probably explains the extra weight I am carrying too.
