Floradora, Nicola Sturgeon has already announced a new referendum. Jenty61, it took seconds for the international markets to respond, for the £ to fall, and a lot more.

why keep speculating its far too early to know what is going to happen!!

There can be nothing to be lighthearted about regarding this vote. It will almost certainly mean the break up of the United Kingdom . The SNP has a very good case to ask for a second independance referendum and they will win this time for sure . This brings me no joy at all but so many Scots will be sickened to have voted to stay yet are being taken out . Anyone wanting a little England will get one as Ireland will not be far behind think of the logistics of a border in Ireland with one half out and one in. At least the majority in Wales voted to leave so they will stay with England . This makes me so sad .

That went over the heads of the doomsayers NonnaW. I have been watching the markets which now seem to be making a bit of a recovery (going down and up again). It was always expected that the initial shock would cause a fall in the pound and share prices. I am not an expert (unlike some of the posters on GN) but I think we should remain calm and wait and see.

I think this was meant to be a lighthearted thread!

Have all you Brexiters calculated how much money you have lost on any savings you may have?

Talk about walking into the dark with your eyes tight shut.
Have you thought about how much more expensive things are going to be right away because of the crash in the value of the pound.

Will we be able to buy a packet of nuts without a 'may contain nuts' warning now!

ninathenana Fri 24-Jun-16 10:31:02

Is that your major concern ?

Greyduster Fri 24-Jun-16 10:30:36

Possibly, but it may mean that you can't afford to switch the lights on! ?

does leaving the EU mean we will get proper light bulbs back?
